GRACE GROVE

Written by: Locke Fitzpatrick

Grace Grove is the kind of person who makes you want to get outside, lace up your shoes and give something a go. A doctor, marathon runner, content creator and community builder, Grace somehow manages to bring energy, honesty and humour to everything she does. Through her social channels, she inspires hundreds of people every day simply by showing up as herself.

Originally from Tasmania, Grace now calls the Sunshine Coast home. Between working as a doctor, training for marathons and creating content, her days are busy, but it’s the way she brings people along for the journey that has built a community like no other.

Grace doesn’t pretend to have everything figured out. She shares the good days, the hard sessions, the nerves, the wins and the moments that don’t go to plan. There’s something refreshing about watching someone who is completely comfortable being themselves. Grace lives by the belief that embarrassment isn’t real. It’s a mindset that has given her the freedom to try things, make mistakes and not take herself too seriously. Whether she’s running a marathon, creating content or navigating the very real pressures of working as a doctor, she doesn’t let the fear of what other people might think stop her from showing up.

Her work as a doctor has also shaped the way she sees the world. It's taught Grace the importance of empathy and giving people grace. You never really know what someone else is going through, and sometimes a little patience and understanding can make a bigger difference than you realise.

For Grace, being 1% better every day isn’t about constantly trying to achieve more. It’s about becoming more comfortable in who she is, continuing to challenge herself and showing up for the things that matter.

Whether that’s putting in another training session, turning up for her patients, creating something that makes someone laugh or simply being herself, Grace is proof that you don’t have to have it all figured out to inspire the people around you.

You just have to keep showing up.
