Road to Brisbane: Our Athletes Are Chasing the CrossFit Games

The alarm goes off before the sun comes up. The barbell is already waiting. And somewhere between chalk-dusted hands and a last rep that shouldn't be possible โ€” a season's worth of work either pays off or it doesn't.

This weekend, five LSKD athletes step onto the floor at Pat Rafter Arena in Brisbane for the TYR Torian Pro 2026, one of CrossFit's official Games Semifinals. Three days. One shot. The top 3 men and top 3 women go on to compete at the CrossFit Games for the title of Fittest on Earth.

We followed them on the journey to get here. And we made a film about it.

What Is the Torian Pro?

For the uninitiated: the CrossFit Games season is a long road. It starts with the Open in February โ€” hundreds of thousands of athletes worldwide completing the same workouts. That narrows to Quarterfinals, then a regional Qualifier, and finally an invitation to compete at a Semifinal event. The Torian Pro is Oceania's Semifinal, and it's widely considered one of the most electric events on the entire calendar.

This year it runs 22โ€“24 May at Pat Rafter Arena โ€” a venue that knows pressure. The athletes who finish in the top 3 of their division punch their ticket to the CrossFit Games. Everyone else goes home and thinks about next season.

There is no grey area.

Five Athletes. One Goal.

The video follows five LSKD-sponsored athletes through the weeks leading up to Torian โ€” the training, the mindset, the small rituals and the big decisions that define what it takes to compete at this level.

What struck us filming it wasn't the weights moved or the times posted. It was everything else. The way elite athletes think about 1% better. How they talk to themselves between sets. The community that shows up around them โ€” coaches, training partners, family โ€” and how much of performance is invisible to the scoreboard.

These are athletes who have already done the hard part: they qualified. Now they have to perform when it counts.

The Moment Is Now

The CrossFit Games season has a way of compressing time. Months of preparation funnelled into a single weekend. Every event on the floor at Torian Pro is another chance to move up โ€” or fall behind. The margins between qualifying and going home can be a single rep.

That's what makes events like this worth watching, and worth showing up for.

If you're in Brisbane this weekend, tickets are still available at torianpro.com. If you're watching from home, tune into the CrossFit Games live stream and look for the LSKD kit on the competition floor.

And if you haven't yet โ€” watch the film. It won't take long to understand what's on the line.
